Johnny Lopez of Platinum Equity and noted car enthusiast is at it again. This time
Performance Restorations is building one for him. A fully customized 66 Impala
Roadster. Thats right "Roadster"! The Pro Touring machine will be powered by a
“BIG” Big Block Chevy producing at least 800 horse power on pump gas. Johnny and
Brent are working with legendary designer Murray Pfaff to come up with a Cool
Custom Cruiser. Plans include some old school customizing, tricked out suspension,
a serious diet for the big car and way too much power. The goal is to have a car that
can show well in the ISCA, can drive anywhere in comfort, take care of business on
the street, and handles like a car half it’s size. Stay tuned here for updates in the
months to come! This one is going to raise the bar a notch!
