This 65 Vette is being built as per the rule book for Vintage Sports car racing with the SVRA and the VSCDA. It will also be raced with NASA and the SCCA. Its current condition is how it was purchased. It is a solid low mile car that was built for street use by the previous owner. Best we can tell it has never been hit and the frame is absolutely perfect. Currently white it will return to its original color Nassau Blue which Chevrolet used on some of their race Vette’s back in the day. The rules do not allow flares so the body will be put back to stock. We are building a 427 with aluminum heads by the book for the car. We expect 650 to 700 hp out of the engine. A 4 speed has to be used as well as many of the stock suspension components. There are many “free” areas to tune and tweak the car such as sway bars, shocks and many others. We will use every inch of the rule book in those areas. 15” rims must be used with Good Year Blue Streak Bias ply racing tires. If you have not guessed this car belongs to Brent and he will drive it and tune it. Finish date is April 2010 for the first race.
