1967 Nova ZL1

This 1967 Chevy Nova was one of those projects that had its twists and turns. What looked like an ok car was anything but once it was taken apart. The body
had to be completely rebuilt. We had to replace almost every single panel by the time we were done. It was quite a challenge. The original plan was to install a
ZZ4 small block crate engine in the car. A deal came along on a new ZL1 in the crate while we were doing the Nova.  This was one of the rare 200 engines made
by GM.  So plans changed again.
 The ZL1 454 puts out 620hp. It’s hooked to a Super T10 transmission and a Ford 9” with 3:20 gears. A Heidts front stub with coil over’s tube a-arms and a rack
and pinion unit fixed that primitive Nova suspension up front. In the rear a single leaf with Cal Trac bars and QA1 adjustable shocks were used to keep it straight.
The body is painted the original gold with a restored black interior. The dash has been modified for the gauge package we chose.
This car is super light and super fast and is going to be featured in Super Chevy magazine soon.
